Invitation

You are cordially invited to participate in the 34th International Symposium on Chirality (Chirality-2024), which will be held on August 26 (Mon)–29 (Thu), 2024 in Kyoto, Japan.

Kyoto is an old capital city since more than 1200 years ago with a total of 17 UNESCO world heritage sites within relatively small area. The city is Japan’s most popular and quintessentially destination as indicated by several international rankings.

Kyoto is easily accessible from many countries through Osaka Kansai International Airport (KIX) via direct train/limousine bus (70–90 min) and also from most major Japanese cities via Shinkansen train. You may also fly over to Tokyo airports (Narita or Haneda) and then take a connection flight to Osaka Itami Airport (ITM) (60 min to Kyoto by limousine bus) or KIX.

Following the long tradition of a series of Chirality symposia, the focus of the 34th symposium is also on wide aspects of molecular chirality of natural/synthetic/bioactive/functional small molecules, macromolecules, and supramolecules, including synthetic chemistry, chiroptical spectroscopies, chiral functional materials, the origin of homochirality, biological and medicinal chemistry, chiral separation, and any related areas related to chirality. It is important to note that the conference is opened widely to researchers in other disciplines such as biology, physics and informatics.

The scientific program consists of award lectures (Chirality Medal and Molecular Chirality Award), plenary/keynote/invited/oral talks, and poster presentations.

As organizers, we hope this conference brings together chemists from academia and industry from all around the world to provide all participants with an exceptional opportunity to get up to date with stimulating, cutting edge topics with chirality as a central issue.

We look forward to welcoming and meeting you in Kyoto.
